UK’ freighting directory for over 1,000 destinations around the world, Llyod’s Loading Lists’ Star Performer awards were announced in a ceremony held recently in London.

Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) was voted the Shipping Line of the Year for the sixth time by readers, the company also received four more awards for customer service performance in the regions of Australia, Asia, North America and Africa.

Grimaldi Lines and ACL, which are represented in Turkey by Egekont, proved their performance once again this year by receiving awards from Lloyd’s Loading List. Grimaldi Lines was chosen as the Ro-Ro Line of the Year, repeating last year’s achievement. Grimaldi Lines has won this award more than any other Ro-Ro company. Atlantic Container Line (ACL) also shone in 2007, winning the Star Performer Award for its transit times and on-time delivery based on its published schedule for its North Atlantic routes.

Schenker Arkas was a main sponsor this year for European Football Championship events that were organized at the Austrian and Swiss consulates. Many people enjoyed watching the Turkish national team perform in exciting matches. In addition to showing the matches at events organized at the consulates in Ankara and Istanbul, a drawing was also held. One Schenker Arkas customer who participated in the event won a traveler's check from MSC Cruises worth 1,000 Euros.
