Ardep implements Integrated Management System

Ardep began working on its Integrated Management System (IMS) in February, 2007 and has now been certified for ISO 9001 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) and OHSAS 18001 (Work Health, Work Safety Management System)

ISO-OHSAS is now fully implemented by Ardep, which operates Arkas’ container terminals and bonded and non-bonded warehouses and also oversees repair and maintenance for containers and reefers. Ardep successfully passed the audits which were held by SGS,world famous certification body thereby strengthening even further its existing service infrastructure by obtaining these three certifications. The ISO 9001 Quality Management System is a management model that focuses on continual improvement and a systematic approach to customer-oriented management. ISO 14001 enables a corporation to carry out environmentally-friendly operations, and the OHSAS 18001 standard helps companies manage practices that can affect the health and safety of their employees on the job. Ardep is the first company ever in the field of container storage in Turkey to be certified in these three areas and has implemented an Integrated Management System (IMS) to ensure optimal operational productivity.

Tracking customer satisfaction
Ardep is a company that always focuses on achieving customer satisfaction by offering its service at international standards. For this certification, a detailed project plan was prepared and analyzed, after which business process flow charts were drawn up. This was followed by efficiency analysis, risk assessment and environmental impact evaluations. Areas with room for improvement were identified and modified; also, operational differences between regions were eliminated.

Ahmet Tamtekin (Director of Arkas Logistics Services), Nabi Erberk (Ardep General Manager) and Hikmet Pezuk (Depot Services Manager) received certificates from SGS representatives.
The document infrastructure required by these standards was developed and a Quality Documentation Management System (QDMS) software was put into place to make it possible to carry out and monitor the necessary tasks. Customer recommendations and complaints can be received, recorded and monitored via Ardep's web site. This information is used to take necessary measures, plan a course of action and pursue every possible opportunity for increasing customer satisfaction.
