Now celebrating its tenth year of VIP air transport, Arkasair has added a Challenger 300 business jet to its existing fleet that consists of a Challenger 604 and a Learjet 60.

Arkasair, the first Turkish company to become ISO 9001 certified for VIP airline transport, has added another jet to its fleet. Currently the owner of a Bombardier Challenger 604 and a Learjet 60, Arkasair has purchased another Bombardier jet. In order to meet the steadily increasing demand for VIP transportation services in Turkey, Arkasair’s new Challenger 300 jet has technical specifications that make it the best in its class. The Challenger 300 has seating for eight with a range of 3,100 nautical miles. Arkasair’s new jet has the widest cabin of its type, allows the use of an iPod for the first time and can fly non-stop to America or Japan.

The fleet previously consisted of a ten-passenger Challenger 604 with a range of 4,000 nautical miles and a seven-passenger Learjet 60 with a range of 2,500 nautical miles.

Jets continuously airborne in 2007!
Arkasair Assistant General Director Martine De Andria said that she expects a 35 percent increase in passengers this year because of the purchase of the new jet. In 2007, Arkasair aircraft flew 266 trips, spent 1,820 hours in the air, traveled 764,000 nautical miles and carried 1,579 distinguished passengers. Because of the heavy demand from its customers, Arkasair had to lease aircraft from time to time and flew 73 additional flights totaling 437 hours.

Passengers choose their departure time Arkasair’s passenger portfolio consists of Turkish and foreign businessmen, primarily from Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates. Aware of the fact that private jet customers expect their travel to be perfectly coordinated, Arkasair pays attention to every detail and works hard to provide impeccable service to its passengers. Arkasair places a high priority on passenger comfort and adapts flight times to the passenger’s schedule. All passengers are met by the pilot in VIP rooms or in General Aviation Terminals built for VIP jets.
They have their customs procedures taken care of and are accompanied as they board the aircraft and deplane at their destination. Passengers can also have limousine or helicopter transfer arranged if so desired. Arkasair operates 1,535 square meters of indoor space at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport. At the terminal there is also a 1,000 square meter hangar and a special VIP lounge.
